About the professional

I interviewed my uncle a long time ago. He is an engineer who works for a communications company in Brazil. Because of our 'talk', i agreed to take up ICTM as my course. That was the most influencial talk of my life (hehehe).

He told me that, well since what he is doing right now is also connected to IT, he told me that when i get a job from that course in the future, most of the time, people will just give me a project, a deadline and some specifics and that's it. Madalas na sa diskarte lang yan at time management. If you're good enough, the given project will give one week time to finish and you will be able to do it in just four days.

He also told me that his career is not really fun, just average but high paying so, that's the exciting part of it. And even though it's not that fun, he enjoys what he is doing and will not ask for another career.

Reflection:
The interview taught me that whatever career i land into, as long as i enjoy it and i do well in it, i will have no regrets. It will be the best and most suitable career for me.

He also told me that as long as i enjoy what i am doing, your chosen career will be very rewarding. Enjoyment for him is being able to enjoy plus doing hard work without stress. He believes that stress is only felt if you do not like what you are doing and you find your work as a burden.

Lastly, for him, his greatest accomplishment was being able to support his parents (my lolo and lola).

Just to share, this uncle of mine is the youngest brother of my father. They were relatively poor before. To the point that they were forced to pawn some of their things so that they will be able to buy something to eat and for them to go to school. My grandparents raised them well, full of virtues and dreams. They were strict, very strict according to my dad and uncles and aunt. But because of that, they were able to be successful in life.
